Away From Home, But Not Out of Purpose: Day 36–39 of my Bell's Palsy recovery!

Finding strength in every step This week has been layered — revelation, gratitude, exhaustion, and excruciating pain — yet threaded together by one unshakable truth: nothing is wasted . Day 36 – Away From Home During devotion, Babes shared the thought I reflected on yesterday — In the Bible, where Abram went down to Egypt, and later Joseph did the same. But he took it further. Why Egypt? Egypt was a provision, but it was never the promise. It was survival, but not settlement. It was a place of learning, not belonging. As he spoke, I heard the phrase clearly in my spirit: “ Away From Home .” Abraham went. His grandson went. Even Jesus , the Seed of Abraham, went into Egypt for a season (Matthew 2:13–15). Yet Egypt was never their final destination. That made me reflect deeply. What if some of the places we find ourselves — physically, emotionally, spiritually — are Egypt seasons ? Encamped by Angels: The Unseen Support Around Us Babes reminded me during devotion that God’s angels encamp around us—especially when we go through tough times. I used the jade roller and did some gentle massages, and Den helped by putting in my eye ...

Wednesday, 11 June Day #33 - Though you can't see my smile - it is in my heart A Message from the Heart Reflection This Morning 2 Corinthians 10:5 (MSG) “We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ.” Recently, Babes and I reflected on the captive perspective - not allowing our thoughts to grow monumental. We talked about imagination and imagery and how powerfully the mind uses them. Thoughts shape feelings. Feelings influence actions. Actions ultimately shape the posture of the heart. If your thoughts determine the condition of your heart, then choosing pleasant, life-giving thoughts becomes essential. When you intentionally “fit every loose thought” into Christ’s structure, something beautiful happens; your heart begins to smile. Did You Know? Research consistently shows the co...
